CfP: High Performance Graphics 2011

November 21st, 2010

Introduction

We are pleased to announce High-Performance Graphics 2011. High Performance Graphics is the leading international forum for performance-oriented graphics systems research including innovative algorithms, efficient implementations, and hardware architecture. The conference brings together researchers, engineers, and architects to discuss the complex interactions of massively parallel hardware, novel programming models, efficient graphics algorithms, and innovative applications. High Performance Graphics was founded in 2009 to synthesize and expand on two important and well-respected conferences in computer graphics:

  • Graphics Hardware: an annual conference focusing on graphics hardware, architecture, and systems since 1986; and
  • Interactive Ray Tracing: an innovative symposium begun in 2006 focusing on the emerging field of interactive ray tracing and global illumination techniques.

By combining and expanding these two communities, we bring to authors and attendees the best of both fields and a conference covering a broad range of interactive 3D graphics systems and algorithm research.

Conference Info

Sponsored by ACM SIGGRAPH and Eurographics (pending)
The program features three days of paper and industry presentations, with ample time for discussions during breaks, lunches, and the conference banquet.
The conference, which will take place on August 5—7, is co-located with ACM SIGGRAPH 2011 in Vancouver, Canada.
The conference website is located at http://www.highperformancegraphics.org/

GPU Technology Conference Session Archive Available

November 1st, 2010

All talks from the 2010 GPU Technology Conference (as well as archived presentations from GTC 2009) are now available from NVIDIA.

For those who missed this year’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC) , and those who attended, but had a hard time choosing between all the concurrent sessions, NVIDIA has publicly released streamed recordings, video and slides from most  GTC sessions.

There is content available for all types of programmers and developers. Those just getting started programming GPUs may want to take a look at the pre-conference tutorials, which provide an in-depth look at topics such as CUDA C, OpenCL, OpenGL and Parallel Nsight.

HiBi 2010 deadline extension to July 1

June 18th, 2010

In response to the large number of requests from the community, the organizing committee of HiBi 2010 extend the deadline for paper and abstract submission from Monday June 21 to Thursday July 1, 2010.

The HiBi workshop establishes a forum to link researchers in the areas of parallel computing and computational systems biology. One of the main limitations in managing models of biological systems comes from the fundamental difference between the high parallelism evident in biochemical reactions and the sequential environments employed for the analysis of these reactions. Such limitations affect all varieties of continuous, deterministic, discrete and stochastic models; undermining the applicability of simulation techniques and analysis of biological models. The goal of HiBi is therefore to bring together researchers in the fields of high performance computing and computational systems biology. Experts from around the world will present their current work, discuss profound challenges, new ideas, results, applications and their experience relating to key aspects of high performance computing in biology.
